Zinc futures rise on high demand

NEW DELHI: (Feb 11) Zinc prices on Wednesday rose Rs 2.80 to Rs 328.55 per kg in futures trade as traders stayed on the sidelines amid a lack of fresh triggers.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for March delivery edged up by Rs 2.80, or 0.80 per cent, to Rs 328.55 per kg with a business turnover of 616 lots.

Traders attributed the slight rise in zinc futures to limited buying at lower levels, even as a lack of fresh triggers kept overall sentiment cautious.
