Mapusa: A scathing complaint has been lodged with the Assistant Director of Transport (North), Mapusa, demanding stern action against private sleeper buses allegedly exploiting loopholes in Goa’s transport regulations.
The All Goa Private Bus Owners Association President has blown the whistle, alleging that buses registered in Goa are operating on interstate routes using expired Leave and License agreements and Panchayat NOCs. The complaint cites Chief Ministerial directives to clamp down on such irregularities, as neighbouring states’ operators allegedly misuse Goa’s registration to skirt rules.
