Bambolim: Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant inaugurated the 1st India International Ayurveda and Wellness Expo & Summit 2026, and unveil the “Goa Wellness, Ayurveda and Yoga Policy 2026 organized by Directorate of Planning, Statistics and Evaluation along with the Goa Council of Ayurvedic and Other Allied Indian System of Medicine at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium, St. Cruz,
besides chief minister also present werer Rajya Sabha MP Shri Sadanand Shet Tanavade, Chief Secretary, Dr. V. Candavelou, IAS, M.D. of Patanjali Ayurved Ltd, Acharya Balkrishna, AIIA Director Dr. P. K. Prajapati, and senior doctors, researchers, and wellness leaders.
The policy aims to position Goa as a global hub for holistic wellness, integrating traditional Ayurvedic practices with modern healthcare. Dr. Sawant emphasized Goa’s potential as a premier wellness destination, leveraging its natural beauty and rich cultural heritage.
