“Taleigao’s Floral Marvel at Lok Utsav: Ms. Farzana Sayed’s Sustainable Blooms Steal the Show”
PANAJI: The Lok Utsav, currently underway at Campal, Panaji, is showcasing an incredible array of artisanal delights, and one stall that’s truly blooming is Ms. Farzana Sayed’s unique store. Hailing from Taleigao, Ms. Sayed has crafted an exquisite collection of dry flowers, roses, and bouquets using innovative materials like broom sticks, bamboo sticks, cycle plant leaves, and waste from sweet corn leaves.
The stall, inaugurated on January 20 as part of the silver jubilee celebrations, is a testament to creativity and sustainability. Ms. Sayed’s creations also feature palm leaves, sola wood (Bendyeche lakud in Konkani), stray plants grown in rice fields, decoration leaves, supari (areca nut) leaves, organic plants, and pista nut shells.
