PANAJI: Goa police department has demoted six police inspectors who have pending criminal cases pending before them for a very long time.
In this regard the order was issued on January 19, 2025 and now it has already completed one year January 19, 2026.
The police officers who have been demoted are Ms Sandhya Gupta, Mr Terrence Vaz, Mr Rahul Dhamsekar, Mr Sushant Gawas, Mr Vilesh Dhurbhatkar and Mr Sunil Gudlar.
Previously after conducting departmental inquiry many police officials used to get back to the same position and even after suspension order they were taken back on the same post and position but this time it was little harsh punishment.
These police officers were directly demoted so that others should learn a lesson or two.and discipline themselves.
