Election Commission Ensures Electoral Rolls Accuracy: Shri Sandip Jacques Conducts Crucial Review
Panaji: In a bid to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the electoral rolls, Shri Sandip Jacques, IAS, Electoral Roll Observer, conducted a comprehensive review meeting in North Goa District yesterday. This marks his second visit to the district as part of the Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Rolls, a critical exercise aimed at updating and verifying voter registration data.
The meeting, attended by representatives of recognised political parties, saw active participation from key officials, including the District Election Officer (DEO), Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs). The focus was on addressing concerns, clarifying doubts, and streamlining the electoral roll revision process to ensure that every eligible citizen is registered and able to exercise their right to vote.
Shri Jacques emphasized the importance of transparency and inclusivity in the electoral process, urging all stakeholders to work together to achieve the goal of a comprehensive and error-free electoral roll. The meeting also provided an opportunity for political party representatives to raise questions and seek clarifications on the revision process.
