No ‘Fake Eggs’ Alert from Centre, Says FDA Minister Vishwajit Rane
Porvorim: in the recently concluded Assembley session FDA Minister Vishwajit Rane had stated that the government has not received any official reports or directives from the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) regarding the presence of ‘fake eggs’ in the market. Rane’s response came in reply to a question raised by MLA Aleixo Lourenco, who sought to know if the government was aware of the existence of fake eggs in the market.
Rane had assured that the state government is equipped to test eggs at the State Food and Drugs laboratory in Bambolim, emphasizing the government’s commitment to ensuring food safety.
