First Edition of India International Ayurveda and Wellness Expo & Summit 2026, Panaji, Goa:
The First Edition of the India International Ayurveda and Wellness Expo & Summit 2026 is scheduled to be held from 23rd January to 25th January 2026 at the Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium, Bambolim, Goa. The prestigious international event is jointly organised by the Goa Council of Ayurvedic and Other Allied Indian Systems of Medicine and the Government of Goa, in collaboration with the Patanjali Research Foundation.
The Expo & Summit is envisioned as a flagship platform to promote Ayurveda, AYUSH systems, holistic wellness, preventive healthcare, and integrative medicine, while strategically positioning Goa on the global wellness tourism map.
Organising Committee
The Organising Committee is headed by Dr. Sneha Bhagwat, President, Goa Council of Ayurvedic and Other Allied Indian Systems of Medicine, who serves as the President of the Organising Committee.
The committee also comprises Dr. Dharmendra Prabhudessai (Vice President), Dr. Devdutt Sail (Organising Secretary), Smt. Pratima Dhond (President, Goa Chamber of Commerce & Industry), along with distinguished members Dr. Minal Joshi, Dr. Joy Pereira, Dr. Mahesh Verlekar, and Dr. Rita M. D’Souza E Vaz.
Objectives of the Expo & Summit
The India International Ayurveda and Wellness Expo & Summit 2026 aims to:
- Promote holistic wellbeing and preventive healthcare through Ayurveda and allied Indian systems of medicine
- Create awareness about authentic and evidence-based Ayurvedic practices
- Strengthen India’s global positioning as a wellness and healing hub
- Provide a platform for industry collaboration, innovation, research, and entrepreneurship
- Encourage sustainable, healthy, and lifestyle-oriented practices
- Support market expansion, business opportunities, and B2B engagement within the AYUSH ecosystem
- Initiate dialogue between government and private stakeholders towards regulation and policy formulation for the currently unorganised Ayurveda and wellness sector
- Highlight the sector’s potential, career opportunities, and skill development pathways, especially for the younger generation
- Facilitate structured networking with international consulates, tour and travel operators, hospitality stakeholders, service providers, and wellness institutions
Inaugural Ceremony
The Inaugural Function will be held at 10:00 AM on 23rd January 2026 and will be graced by Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda, Hon’ble Union Minister for Health, Government of India, as the Chief Guest.

- Shri Rajendra Arlekar, Hon’ble Governor of Kerala, Shri Sadanand Shet Tanavade, Member of Parliament Rajya Sabha and

- Agnihotra Ceremony conducted by 108 participants at sunset, aimed at environmental purification, mental harmony, and holistic wellbeing
- Chikitsa Clinics offering free OPDs for the general public across six specialities including Ayurveda, Pain Management, Shringi Chikitsa, Homeopathy, Naturopathy, and Chiropractic

Heal in India & Heal by India – FICCI Session
A key initiative of the Expo & Summit is a dedicated session curated and managed by FICCI on “Heal in India & Heal by India”, aimed at promoting Goa as a premier wellness tourism destination for inbound international tourists and providing opportunities for Goan Ayurveda and wellness practitioners to showcase therapies and treatments globally.
International Participation
International Consuls General from UAE, France, Russia, Portugal, and other countries will participate, facilitated through mobilisation by the Department of Tourism and the NRI Commission, Government of Goa, reinforcing the international outreach of the event.

Participation & Response
The response to the first edition has been highly encouraging, with over 2,500 delegate registrations already received, including nearly 2,000 online and over 500 offline registrations. This includes over 700 students from Bengaluru, Mangalore, Rajasthan, and Kerala.
The organisers expect over 5,000 visitors during the three-day event. Visitor attendance is through online registration only.
