MINISTER KHAUNTE DRIVES GOA’S TECH AHEAD: EMC, STARTUPS, AND STARLINK ON THE HORIZON
Porvorim Goa – IT Minister Rohan Khaunte highlighted progress on the Electronic Manufacturing Cluster (EMC) in Tuem, which includes projects like the anti-drone factory and Kineco. “Nearly 70% of planned startup companies in the cluster are expected to be operational by 2027,” he said.
Khaunte also shared that Goa supports 760 startups with over ₹5 crore in funding, focusing on emerging tech like AI. “Careful and responsible use of technology is essential for economic and social development,” he emphasized.
In a connectivity boost, Starlink services will soon expand high-speed internet access to rural and remote areas of Goa.
