The state government has established a scientific ripening chamber in Mapusa, aimed at ensuring safe, nutritious, and chemical-free bananas reach consumers. This facility, constructed under the National Horticulture Mission with 35% central funding, can handle 60 tons of bananas every four days ¹ ².
