“Passport Ploy Exposed: Philippine National, Aide Caught in Goa
PANAJI: Following a complaint filed by the Regional Passport office, Panaji crime branch of Goa police arrested a 41 year old Philippine national and his aide for securing an India passport by submitting false and fake documents.
The alleged accused Mrs Federico secured an India national passport from the Goa Regional passport office by submitting forged documents and posing under a false name.
He was arrested on January 7 following a complaint filed by the Regional Passport officer at Panaji.
The crime branch police revealed that the alleged accused was working as a hair stylist at a saloon in Porvorim and was staying in the state without a valid visa or permission.
During the course of investigation the crime branch police discovered that the alleged accused had violated the provision of the Foreigners’ Act and Passport ACT ALONG WITH CHARGES OF CHEATING AND FORGERY.
The Superintendant of of Police, crime branch, Mr Rahul Gupta, further revealed that Mrr Federico’s aide Mr Vinit who allegedly helped the foreign national to get the passport was also in the police net’.
Mr Vinit who managed to get Passport, an Aadhar card and other forged documents required to secure the Indian National Passport was arrested and further investigation is under progress to identify the additional persons involved in the whole racket.
