Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant recently launched the Rejuvenation and Development of the Valvanti River stretch in Sankhali, Goa, under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) 2.0 Mission. This project aims to transform the riverfront into a landscaped and recreational space, enhancing public amenities and aesthetics in Sanquelim town.
AMRUT 2.0 is a central government initiative focused on making cities “water secure” through circular economy of water, with a total indicative outlay of ₹2,99,000 crore, including ₹76,760 crore in central assistance ⁴ ⁵.
