“Goa Charts Tech-First Future: CARES Scheme Gets 3-Year Boost, Plans CoEs and Hackathons”
Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant chaired the 6th Empowered Committee Meeting of the Coding & Robotics Education in Schools (CARES) Scheme. The meeting reviewed the strong progress of CARES in transforming school education through technology, innovation, and measurable learning outcomes.

* CARES Scheme extended for 3 years under the Directorate of Technical Education.
* PMUтАУCARES to be incorporated as a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) under Government Corporations to commercialize innovative STEAM ed-tech solutions.


* One-year extension approved for Teach for Goa Fellows, Training Officer, and R&D Officer.
* One-year AMC approved for maintenance of ICT laboratories, including Single Board Computers and Wi-Fi routers supplied under CARES.
* Approval to float EoI for establishing Centres of Excellence (CoE) and Whiz Kid Learning SpacesтАФinitially one in each district, in line with the Goa Budget 2025 announcement.
* тАШCARES Goa тАУ Open Tech DayтАЩ to be organized as a Tech Expo & Hackathon, showcasing innovation, talent, and student-led solutions.
