GOA TRAFFIC POLICE CRACKS DOWN ON NEW YEAR’S CROWDS: Calangute-Baga Area to See Major Traffic Restrictions
Calangute: In view of the peak tourist season, the frequency of tourist vehicle entering Calangute has surged many folds thereby congesting the internal roads in VP Calangute jurisdiction.
In order to decongest the village roads, and to facilitate smooth flow of vehicular traffic, causing least inconvenience to the commuters and local residents, Traffic Police has designed the below mentioned traffic circulation plan in Calangute Village Panchayat jurisdiction on New Year’s eve and on the New Year’s Day.
Non Motorised Zone
Read from Bharat Junction to Titos Circle (Mambo’s Club) towards exit from Snow Park via Tito’s Baga will be mad non motorized zone from 15:00 hrs to 06:00 hrs and further restrict the entry timing of Utility vehicles such as, water tankers, LPG cylinder vehicles, Sewerage tankers, etc. from 06:00 hrs to 10:00 hrs for the period from 23/12/2025 to 01/01/2026
One Way for the movement of all types of vehicular traffic
1. from St. Alex Church to Calangute-Baga Junction via St. Anthony Chupel
2. from Baja-Calangute Junction upto Government Primary School
3. From Government Primary School upto Fat Fish Junction
4. From Joia de Mar Resort upto Piety Chapel, Boga.

1. Near Poriat Cross, Calangute
2. Baga Find, Calangute
3. Calangute Association Football Ground
4. GTDC Parking Lot near Bandodkar Statue Calangute Bus Stand
5. Opposite Royal Jamo’s Resort (Jacinto Road)
6. Behind Babreshwar Temple, Calangute
7. Near Bandodkar Statue opposite Sagar Hotel, Calangute
8. Near GTDC Ground, Baga
9. In the field of Sahani Property before new Baga bridge.
10. Open field next to Sahani property Baga End.
11.On Katcha Road leading to STP Plant Baga Find.
12. Road leading so Sewerage Treatment Plant on both sides behind Big Tap Brew House Restaurant,

Entry & movement of Heavy/Medium Tourist Vehicles (Buses, Mini Bases, Tempo) is prohibited within Calangute from 21/12/2025 to 31/01/2026. These vehicles will be allowed to park at following locations:
1. Near fat Fish Restaurant in larren field.
2. Near Bodke Wadakade, Porbowado in Barren fields.
3. Open space adjacent to Calangute Police Station.
