Calangute Congress Sees 2027 Assembly Poll Boost as ZP Results Lift Morale
Mapusa , December 26: The calangute congress block is riding high on the wave of their Calangute ZP election lead, with leaders expressing optimism about the 2027 Assembly elections. The party’s lead in Calangute has given them a much-needed morale boost, especially after facing setbacks in other parts of North Goa.
“This lead is a testament to the trust the people of Calangute have reposed in us, and it’s a clear indication of what’s to come in 2027,” said President of Calangute block Congress. Lourenco Silveira,
ZP Calangute candidate Carmelina Fernandes echoed similar sentiments,
“The people of Calangute have shown their faith in us, and we will work tirelessly to address their concerns and strengthen our party’s presence in the region.”
“We’re focusing on consolidating our gains and preparing for the 2027 Assembly polls,” said Vice President, Goa Pradesh Youth Congress Vivek D’silva,
The Congress secured 10 seats in the ZP elections, with eight wins coming from South Goa.
