Fire Services Battle Blazes in North Goa

Mapusa: December 26: Two separate fires broke out in North Goa on Friday with the Mapusa Fire Station responding swiftly to both incidents.

The first fire was reported at 11:56 am near the police outpost in Aldona, where dry grass caught fire. A team led by Sub Officer Omkar Karbotkar was quick to arrive on the scene and extinguish the flames.

Just over an hour later, at 1:23 pm, another fire was reported near Teen Manshi Kadem in Moira. The Mapusa duty crew, led by R.A. Gaonkar, rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control.

No injuries or damage to property have been reported in either incident. The cause of the fires is being investigated.

The prompt response of the fire services averted any major damage, locals praised the efforts of the teams involved.
