Vijay Merchant Trophy Cricket Tournament: “Goa Crumbles: Innings & 322 Runs Defeat to Madhya Pradesh”
Goa: In the Vijay Merchant Trophy Elite (Under-16) cricket tournament, the Goa team suffered a crushing defeat by an innings and 322 runs against Madhya Pradesh. The three day match was played at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur.
Resuming on Thursday from their overnight score of 48 for 6 in the second innings, Goa were bowled out for just 53 runs. In reply to Goa’s first-innings total of 77, Madhya Pradesh declared their first innings at a commanding 452 for 6 in 107 overs. Goa will play their next match against Karnataka from December 29.
