Hindu group urges Centre to act on Bangladesh violence
Bicholi, 23rd December – The Hindu Rashtra Coordination Committee has demanded strict diplomatic intervention and international pressure to immediately stop the increasing atrocities, killings, and religious persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh. The Committee has also demanded that Bangladeshi illegal infiltrators in Goa be identified and deported from the country. These demands were submitted through a memorandum addressed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

The memorandum was handed over to Bicholi Sub-Divisional Magistrate Mr.Shubham Naik for onward submission to the Central Government. The delegation of the Hindu Rashtra Coordination Committee present on the occasion included Mr. Ashok Khavanevadkar (Shivpremi), Mr. Rohan Shirgaonkar (Shivpremi), Mr. Uday Jambhekar (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh), Mr. Rama Gaonkar (Maye Gramrakshak Dal), Mr. Govind Sakhalkar (Shivpremi), Mr. Subodh Mone (Rashtriya Bajrang Dal), Mr. Satyavan Mhamal (Hindu Janajagruti Samiti), Mr. Rohidas Gad (Social Worker), Mr. Mandar Gawade (Shivpratishthan Hindustan, Dicholi), Ms. Sangeeta Naik and Mrs. Vanita Chimulkar (Sanatan Sanstha), Mr. Bhartesh Gulnavar (Patanjali Yog Samiti), Mrs. Sonam Shirodkar (Ranragini), Mr. Govind Chodankar (Hindu Janajagruti Samiti), Mr. Krishna Marathe (Vishwa Hindu Parishad), among others.
The memorandum states that in Bangladesh, minorities from the Hindu community are facing systematic, organized, and brutal atrocities. Not only are Hindus being killed, but their homes and temples are being burned, women are being raped, and Hindus are being deliberately targeted at many places. The Government of India should strongly condemn the anti-Hindu incidents in Bangladesh and obtain a written assurance from the Bangladeshi authorities regarding strict punishment for the culprits and compensation for the affected families. The memorandum further demands that India should raise the issue of violence against Hindus in Bangladesh, supported by official data, at international forums such as the United Nations, the International Human Rights Commission, and SAARC, and seek a fact-finding mission. It also calls for a humanitarian and transparent policy to provide temporary protection, citizenship, or long-term visas to Hindus forced to migrate to India due to religious persecution. If the atrocities in Bangladesh do not stop, the Central Government should consider imposing economic, trade, and diplomatic sanctions against Bangladesh, and take strict action against terrorist and extremist elements operating there.
