BJP repackaging old karyakartas as new joinees, running out of tricks ahead of ZP elections: Adv Carlos
MAPUSA: Aldona Congress MLA Adv Carlos Alvares Ferreira, on Tuesday mocked the BJP for falsely claiming the around 40 youth from his constituency joined the party ahead of the ZP elections and pointed out that most people depicted in the photo were already members of the BJP
“In the photo that they are circulating, there’s one Anisha. She’s been the BJP’s polling agent both during the 2022 state assembly elections and during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. There’s another 45-50 year old person… What kind of a youth is he? Then there were two minor children from Pomburpa. These are all members of the BJP,” Adv Carlos said.
“This is only repackaging of expired products. The BJP is only selling dreams, and that to fake dreams — ache din, three free cylinders, apprentice schemes who are now all sitting at home without any jobs. These are all lies,” he added.
He likened the photograph of existing BJP members being advertised as new joinees, Adv Carlos said that the move was akin to a renewal of marriage ‘vows’ that were often undertaken on the occasion of wedding anniversaries.
“The BJP knows they are losing and so they are taking all the dirty tricks out of the cupboard to fool the people,” he also said.
He said that the party was working in full swing in Aldona constituency and was confident of a victory in the upcoming ZP polls.
