MOG Sunday: Book Launch – The Brave New World of Goan Writing & Art 2025
Panaji, December 2025: The Museum of Goa (MOG), Pilerne, will host the launch of The Brave New World of Goan Writing & Art 2025 on Sunday, December 21. Edited by Selma Carvalho, the anthology brings together diverse perspectives that reflect Goa’s layered and evolving cultural landscape.
As part of the MOG Sunday series, the book features voices ranging from new residents and diaspora Goans to deeply rooted local writers and artists. It includes Konkani and Portuguese works translated into English, queer narratives, and essays by artists, curators, critics, environmentalists, heritage conservationists, screenwriters, researchers and academics collectively offering a rich portrait of Goa’s creative present.
The launch will include a panel discussion with contributors Annie Sengupta, Glenis Mendonca, Janeita Singh and Heta Pandit, in conversation with Aaron Monteiro. The book is published by Margao-based CinnamonTeal Design and Publishing.
