This Liberation Day, walk into history at Aguad Port and Jail Complex; No Charge Entry for Goans
Panaji, December 2025: To mark the 64th Goa Liberation Day, the Aguad Port and Jail Complex in Sinquerim is set to welcome all Goans to revel in the spirit of the Liberation Day. Goan residents can walk in with no charge entry into the complex, upon furnishing any government certified identification or residence proof.

As a cultural and historical destination, Aguad Port & Jail Complex offers a glimpse into the state’s rich history and the struggle for liberation. A place that once held freedom fighters, the complex now stands testimony to the movement, for people to rediscover their legacy. Visitors can garner immense knowledge as they enter the jail cells that have been converted into a digital interactive museum. A space dedicated to Goa’s freedom struggle, the museum narrates the stories of Goa’s freedom fighters and beyond. One can pay tribute to these heroes, at the dedicated wall which proudly displays the names of the countless fighters who were instrumental in Goa’s liberation struggle.
