PANAJI: “Stop nightclub culture in the state, we do not require it,” thundered Sattari MLA and Cabinet Minister, Mr. Vishwajit Rane. Addressing the Zilla Panchayat meeting in Sattari, Mr. Rane stated that there is an urgent need to stop this night culture in the state once and for all after 12 am. “We do not want nightclub culture and need to put an end to the rising road accident cases,” he asserted. “We are only worried about the rise in road accidents and not about the causes.”

He also propagated that liquor should be banned completely to stop road accidents in the state, adding that every mother is worried about her wards who have gone to earn a living in the coastal belt areas like Calangute, Candolim, Anjuna, Arpora, and others, about their safety and security. “We will approach the Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant, with a request and urge him that we do not want this nightclub culture in Goa after 12 at night. Instead, promote clean and tidy spiritual tourism in the state without vices,” he added.

Mr. Rane said, “With this kind of culture, our children will not get addicted to liquor, drugs, and other vices. For this, we need to bring an end to this nightclub culture, like other countries which have a clean culture.” Today, parents are toiling and troubling to bring up their children, and if something happens to them or they meet with a road accident, the whole family is destroyed, he concluded .
