‘Sanatan Rashtra Shankhnad Mahotsav’ concludes with inspiration for valor and cultural pride

New Delhi : Over 3,000 delegates and representatives from more than 800 Hindu organizations from across India participated in the two-day ‘Sanatan Rashtra Shankhnad Mahotsav’ held at Bharat Mandapam in the national capital.

Saints, scholars, central and state ministers, entrepreneurs, advocates, thinkers, and defense experts collectively resolved to work for the protection of Sanatan culture and the establishment of a Sanatan Nation. The sessions on “Security, culture, and valor” along with the traditional weapon demonstrations inspired courage and a sense of pride among attendees.

“Bharat must become a republican Hindu Nation” – Swami Vigyananandji

Speaking during the concluding session “Sanatan Rashtra Sankalp Sant Sabha” on the topic ‘Hindus’ cultural manifesto’, Swami Vigyananandji, joint general secretary of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), said, “Any nation embracing the Hindu way of life qualifies as a Hindu Rashtra,”

He reminded that, “Ancient India was prosperous and vast, stretching from sunrise to sunset under Hindu rule. Today, Hindu influence remains limited to a few states within India. Hindus must therefore rise beyond festivals like Navratri or Diwali and strive toward regaining lost cultural ground. Only then will India evolve into not merely a Hindu Nation but a Republican Hindu Nation.”

“Introduce a character-building education policy” – Pujya Pawan Sinha Guruji

Pujya Pawan Sinha Guruji, Founder of Pawan Chintan Dhara Ashram, urged the Central Government to implement an educational policy focused on character formation. He stated, “Only the virtuous can win a dharma yudh (righteous war). Education alone does not ensure virtue, many educated individuals are corrupt. India triumphed in multiple wars owing to the strength of moral character. Hence, nurturing character is essential for the nation’s strength and unity,”

“Why this discrimination on Hindus in the Constitution?” – Ramesh Shinde, HJS

Hindu Janajagruti Samiti’s (HJS) National Spokesperson Ramesh Shinde questioned the religious discrimination found in India’s Constitution. Though the Preamble defines India as a secular state, from Article 25 onward, separate rules and provisions for minorities contradict the very essence of secularism. A secular nation must not differentiate on the basis of religion.

“A pledge for Sanatan Nation-building”

P.P. Yudhishthir Lal Maharaj, Peethadheeshwar of Shadani Darbar, Chhattisgarh, urged participants to continue efforts toward the establishment of a Sanatan Nation within their respective fields.

Sadguru Nilesh Singbal of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti cited the Bhagavad Gita verse, “Na Me Bhaktah Pranashyati” (“My devotee shall never perish,”) emphasizing spiritual devotion alongside preparedness for future challenges.

The event concluded with the resonant chanting of full verses of “Vande Mataram.” The Mahotsav was supported by the Departments of Art and Culture, and Language, Ministry of Culture, Government of India, as well as the Delhi state government’s Tourism Department.

Yours sincerely,
