Maratha-era Weapons and “Vande Mataram” Exhibition inaugurated at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi
“This exhibition evokes reverence for our ancestors and inspires a new direction in life!” – Swami Dipankar
New Delhi: The grand ‘Swaraajachya Shaurya Naad (Echoes of Valour)’ exhibition, part of the ongoing ‘Sanatan Rashtra Shankhnad Mahotsav’ organized by Sanatan Sanstha and presented by Save Culture Save Bharat Foundation at Bharat Mandapam, was inaugurated today by Delhi’s Minister of Culture, Shri Kapil Mishra.
Renowned spiritual leader Swami Dipankar, who visited the exhibition, expressed deep admiration, saying, “This exhibition gives one goosebumps. It fills the heart with pride for our ancestors and inspires every individual to move ahead in life with renewed purpose. I sincerely invite everyone to experience it.”
“Delhi’s history belongs more to Marathas, Sikhs, and Jats than to Mughals” – Kapil Mishra
During the inauguration, Shri Mishra said, “Much has been said about the Mughals’ contribution to Delhi, but in reality it was minimal. The Marathas, Sikhs, and Jats played a far greater role in shaping the true history of Delhi. The Mughals could not step outside the Red Fort without the consent of the Marathas. Even the British took Delhi not from the Mughals, but from the Marathas. Yet, this truth has long been deliberately suppressed.”
A grand museum of Indian martial heritage to be built in Delhi
Responding to a proposal from historic arms collector Shri Rakesh Dhawade, the Minister assured that “a magnificent museum dedicated to India’s martial traditions and ancient weaponry will be established in the heart of Delhi.”
‘Vande Mataram’ Exhibition marks 150 years of the national song
Marking the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram, a special exhibition highlights its origin, struggle, and lasting role in India’s freedom movement. It celebrates sacrifice, spiritual inspiration, and national pride. Notable guests included author Smt. Shefali Vaidya; Shri Satshakti (Smt.) Binda Singbal and Shri Chitshakti (Smt.) Anjali Gadgil – spiritual successors of Sanatan Sanstha founder Paratpar Guru Dr. Jayant Athavale; and Shri Uday Mahurkar, former Information Commissioner of India and President of Save Culture Save Bharat Foundation, among others.
