“Fire Safety Under Fire: Government Committee Launches Crackdown on Non-Compliant Tourist Havens in North Goa”
Mapusa: The Joint Enforcement and Monitoring Committee constituted by the Government carried out inspections across the North Goa District under the guidance of the District Collector, North, Goa. The inspections were conducted in key locations including Pernem, Bardez and Tiswadi taluka, with a focus on verifying fire safety measures and ensuring statutory compliance in tourism-related establishments.
The Committee reviewed essential safety systems, emergency preparedness, and adherence to mandated norms.
Necessary directions were issued on the spot to establishments requiring corrective action. The enforcement drive will continue across the district to ensure full compliance and enhance public safety.
