Margao: East Bengal secured a spot in the AIFF Super Cup final with a 3-1 win over Punjab FC at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Margao, Goa. The Kolkata-based team took the lead in the 12th minute through Mohamad Rashid’s shot, but Punjab FC equalized in the 34th minute via a Daniel Ramirez penalty.


East Bengal regained the lead just before halftime with Kevin Sibille’s header, and captain Saul Crespo sealed the win with a second-half goal.
This marks East Bengal’s third Super Cup final appearance. They previously finished as runners-up in 2018 and won the title in 2024 by defeating Odisha FC. Next, they’ll face the FC Goa in the final clash,
