Super Goans FC Wins GFA U-18 Division II North Zone Championship
Sirsaim: In a thrilling finale, Super Goans FC secured the Goa Football Association U-18 Division II North Zone Championship title with a resounding 3-0 victory over Dunes Sports Club, Mandrem, at the Sesa Football Academy ground in Sirsaim on Sunday.
The Super Goans FC team dominated the game, with Brendon Fernandes scoring the opening goal in the 17th minute, followed by Shuban Fondekar’s strike three minutes later. Alfie Thorn sealed the win with the third goal in the 25th minute.
Super Goans coach Marcos Fernandes expressed his pride, saying, “This title is a proud moment for grassroots football in Goa, especially since every player in the squad is a product of Super 30 Soccer Schools and Candolim Football Academy, both developed and operated under the guidance of Ricardo Cardozo.”
The victory was celebrated with notable attendees, including Goa Football Association President Caetano Fernandes, Competition Chairman Laxman Hadfadkar, and other GFA Executive Committee members.
