Beautification of Calangute’s Road divider: A Safer Drive Ahead
In a bid to enhance road safety and aesthetics, the road divider from Palmarinha, Nagoa to St. Alex Church in Calangute is undergoing a transformation. The project, spearheaded by Michael Lobo, involves upgrading the existing divider and adding a new stretch, complete with plants that will not only beautify the area but also reduce glare from headlights, making night driving safer.

The plants, which will be maintained by the authorities, are expected to thrive and provide a natural shield against harsh lights, ensuring a smoother drive for motorists. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure and safety in the region.
Residents and visitors are advised to exercise caution while driving through the area as work is in progress. The authorities appreciate the cooperation of motorists and emphasize that safety is their top priority.
“I am pleased to see this project taking shape, and I am confident that it will greatly benefit the residents and visitors of Calangute. I appeal to all motorists to drive carefully and cooperate with the authorities during this period. Your safety is our priority.” – Michael Lobo, MLA
The initiative reflects the commitment of local authorities to enhance the quality of life for residents and visitors alike, making Calangute a more beautiful and safe destination.
