“Haryana and Goa Legislative Assembly Speakers Strengthen Ties: A Visit to Remember”
In a significant move to foster cooperation and knowledge sharing between the two states, Shri Harvinder Kalyan, Speaker of the Haryana Legislative Assembly, visited the Goa Legislative Assembly, Porvorim, and met with Shri Ganesh Gaonkar, Speaker of the Goa Legislative Assembly.
The visit aimed to exchange best practices and experiences in legislative procedures, with a focus on paperless proceedings. Shri Kalyan was impressed by Goa’s efforts in implementing digital technologies to streamline Assembly operations ¹ ².
During their meeting, the two Speakers discussed ways to enhance inter-state cooperation and mutual support in legislative matters. They also explored opportunities for Haryana and Goa to work together on issues of common interest.
Shri Gaonkar, who took office as Speaker of the Goa Legislative Assembly in September 2025, expressed his gratitude for the visit, highlighting the importance of such interactions in strengthening democratic institutions.
