Loyola High School Crowned Champions at Salcete Football Club U-12 Festival
sinquetim: In a thrilling finale, Loyola High School emerged victorious, defeating St Xavier’s High School, Velim, 4-0, in the Salcete Football Club U-12 football festival final, held at the Sinquetim ground, Navelim. The match, played to celebrate the club’s 45th anniversary, was a one-sided affair, with Loyola High School dominating proceedings.

Despite some impressive saves by St Xavier’s goalkeeper Aden Fernandes, Loyola High School’s attacking prowess proved too strong, with Velroy, Aidan, Aslan, and Caleb scoring the goals. Nathan was adjudged man-of-the-match, while Aston and Velroy were awarded best defender and midfielder, respectively.
Aden Fernandes, despite his team’s defeat, impressed with his goalkeeping skills, earning the best goalkeeper award. Former India captain Climax Lawrence handed out the prizes to the winners and runners-up, accompanied by Salcete Football Club President Agnelo Fernandes and other officials.
