“Calangute MLA Plea to Minister: Secure Water, Revamp Roads”
Calangute: In a bid to address the pressing water woes of Candolim residents, local leaders have urged the Water Resources & Agriculture Minister to take urgent action. Calangute MLA Michael Lobo, along with Candolim Sarpanch Blaise Fernandes and Village Panchayat members, met Minister Subhash Phal Dessai to highlight the need for new water pipelines and improved infrastructure.

The leaders emphasized the importance of laying pipelines in dedicated utility chambers below the footpath, allowing for easier repairs and minimizing road disruptions. This initiative aims to provide reliable water supply and ensure safer, longer-lasting roads for the community.
“Our priority is to provide basic amenities to our residents while also ensuring sustainable development,” said MLA Michael Lobo. “We’re working together to create a better future for Candolim.”
The Minister has been apprised of the situation, and the local leaders are optimistic about a positive outcome. This collaborative effort showcases the power of community-driven initiatives in driving change.
