“Vasco Baina Under Siege: Dacoits Strike Again, Leave Family Traumatized”
Vasco : Dacoits have struck again, targeting the nayak family in Vasco Baina, leaving them traumatized and robbed of jewellery and cash worth lakhs. The incident occurred at around 2:30 am when 7-8 persons, wearing helmets and armed with iron and metal rods, sneaked into the flat by cutting the iron grills from the backyard.
The intruders entered the bedroom and started assaulting the family members, ignoring their pleas to spare them. “We pleaded with them not to harm us and told them to take the money, but they continued and took our gold and silver ornaments, including bangles, finger rings, and earrings, besides silver utensils,” a family member said.
The family was subjected to brutal violence, with the husband being hit on the head, causing serious injuries, and the daughter being slapped and kicked. The elderly mother was pushed from the bed, and the family was threatened with knives.
The family believes the dacoits were speaking Hindi with a Bihari tone. The police investigation is ongoing.
MLA Sankalp Amonkar said, “I will meet the Chief Minister to discuss the Baina dacoity case and ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice.”
“We will work it out, give us some time. We have identified the suspects, and in this case also, we will work it out. We are doing our best, and we will do it. I am taking it as a challenge,” said DIG Varsha Sharma after visiting the dacoity site at Baina.
