“Hyderabad Youth Fears Drowned in Goa Beach in Rescue Bid”

calangute: A tragic incident unfolded at Baga beach in Goa on Monday evening, where a young man from Hyderabad, Parvez Shaikh (24), is feared drowned after attempting to rescue his friend, Mohammed Ibrahim, who was struggling in the sea. The group of friends had arrived in Goa earlier that day, having hired a taxi after their bus broke down en route.

According to reports, Ibrahim had gone for a swim near Tito’s Lane when he began to struggle, prompting Shaikh to rush to his aid. Lifeguards were alerted, and they managed to rescue Ibrahim, but Shaikh went missing in the process. Despite an extensive search by the Calangute police, tourist police, and coastal police, Shaikh’s whereabouts remain unknown ¹.
