South Goa SIR Exercise Review Meeting Held

The Chief Election Officer Shri Sanjay Goel IAS along with the three member team of ECI led by Principal Secretary ECI Shri S.B. Joshi, Principal Secretary Shri Ajoy Kumar, Secretary Shri Pawan Diwan, had a review meeting with South Goa Collector and EROs of all South Goa Assembly Constituencies in GST Bhavan at Altinho Panaji today.

Shri Goel IAS reviewing the preparedness and progress of work of all concerned in SIR exercise advised to device their own mechanism to accomplish the work as expected. He instructed EROs to address the problems of BLOs, get their problems addressed on time. He also suggested to maintain quality in digitization and suggested to speed up the process to complete the task within the set time limit.

While interacting in the meeting with those engaged in SIR exercise the Principal Secretary ECI Shri S.B. Joshi urged to work to complete the SIR exercise properly. Suggesting to work to achieve desired result , he instructed the EROs to help to digitize to those who are out of range and advised to enhance the target and stressed for the completion of SIR exercise in Goa without any problem.

The Collector South Goa Ms. Egna Cleetus IAS through power point presentation enlightened the participants about activities undertaken to prepare for ongoing SIR exercise in the State, Meetings, awareness activities, creation of help desk, conduct of training for EROS, BLOs etc. She also presented status of Enumeration Forms collection and digitization status as of date.
