Panaji: In a high-stakes security review meeting, Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant has ordered heightened vigilance across the state, following a deadly car blast in Delhi that claimed eight lives. The meeting, attended by top officials from State and Central security agencies, focused on fortifying inter-agency coordination, streamlining communication, and ensuring swift response mechanisms ¹ ² ³.


Sawant’s directive comes as Goa invokes the National Security Act (NSA) for three months to tackle anti-social elements and organized crime. The move aims to prevent public disorder and maintain law and order in the state ⁴.
Sawant emphasized the importance of preventive measures, stating, “I have personally alerted the Goa police to ensure that no similar event takes place in our state” ².
