Camp Culminates Successfully for NCC Cadets of Goa
Pernem, Goa – Shri Ajay R. Gaude, Director of Sports & Youth Affairs, Government of Goa, visited the Annual Training Camp (ATC) of 1 Goa Naval NCC Unit at the Multipurpose Sports Stadium, Pernem, giving a strong motivational boost to cadets from schools and colleges across Goa.
Shri Ajay R. Gaude was received by Captain Sumeet Sinha, Commanding Officer, 1 Goa Naval NCC, who briefed him on the objectives, training activities, and the role of NCC in youth development. During his interaction, the Director inspired the cadets by sharing incidents and life lessons from his personal journey, stressing discipline, determination, and hard work.
He appreciated the dedicated contribution of PI Staff, ANOs, CTOs, and significantly acknowledged the support of civilian staff from the Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs and other state government departments, whose efforts in logistics, administration, and camp management played a crucial role in the smooth and successful conduct of the ATC.
The 10 days camp featured drill, PT, naval orientation, leadership sessions, cultural programmes, and personality-development activities aimed at holistic cadet growth.
The ATC concluded with a dignified ceremony where outstanding cadets were recognised for their performance. Captain Sumeet Sinha expressed gratitude to the Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs, PI Staff, ANOs, CTOs, civilian staff, and all supporting agencies for their collective effort in making the camp a success.
The motivating address of Shri Ajay R. Gaude and the energetic participation of cadets ensured that the Annual Training Camp ended on an inspiring note, upholding the NCC motto of “Unity and Discipline.”
