In a shocking revelation, Adv Santosh Malvikar has alleged that Goa police officials stationed at the Dodamarg-Goa border were caught taking bribes. Speaking to the media, Malvikar claimed that the cops demanded money from him for failing to produce his driving licence, despite his assurance that he would have someone bring it from home.“They took money and refused to give a receipt. Later, when we were returning, they stopped another KA-registered vehicle and demanded money. When those travellers refused, the police started hitting them,” Malvikar said.
He added that when he tried to intervene, the cops, some without uniforms and one without a nameplate, began questioning him. “That’s when I took out my phone and started recording the incident. I made the video viral, after which SP North Rahul Gupta called me to record my statement,” Malvikar said, further revealing that he has another video of the police taking money, which he has not yet released.
