South Collector Ms. Egna Cleetus Leads Charge Against Stray Dog Menace, Following Supreme Court Directive”

Margao: Ms.Egna Cleetus, IAS Collector, South chaired meeting regarding the issues of Stray Dogs as per direction of Hon’ble Supreme Court in Suo Moto Writ Petition (Civil) No. 5 of 2025, along with all the concerned departments including Officials ie Deputy Collector’s, Directorate of Panchayat, BDO’s, Chief Officers(Municipality), Urban Development, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services, Directorate of Sports, Directorate of Health , Directorate of Transport, KTCL, Asst.Director- Airport, Department of Education.

During the meeting directions were given to all concerned officers to take the required action in compliance of the order passed by Hon’ble Supreme Court in Suo Moto Writ Petition No. 5 of 2025 pertaining to stray dogs within the prescribed timeline.
