The Miami Heat edged the Cleveland Cavaliers 140-138 in a thrilling overtime matchup Monday night, thanks to Andrew Wiggins’ buzzer-beating alley-oop dunk. Norman Powell led the Heat with 33 points, while Jaime Jaquez Jr. contributed 22 points, 13 rebounds, and seven assists off the bench. Wiggins added 23 points, and Kel’el Ware had a notable performance with 14 points and 20 rebounds.

Donovan Mitchell led the Cavaliers with 28 points, 15 rebounds, and eight assists, including a late 3-pointer to tie the game. De’Andre Hunter scored 23 points, and Evan Mobley had 21 points and 10 rebounds.

This win marks the Heat’s 5-0 home record for the third time in franchise history, joining their 2012-13 NBA title season and 2019-20 NBA Finals run. The teams’ previous meeting was a 138-83 Cleveland win in Game 4 of their Eastern Conference first-round series last season, the most lopsided postseason series in NBA history ¹ ².
