Old Goa, November 8 – As the annual preparation for Feast of St. Francis Xavier draws near, the Basilica of Bom Jesus is gearing up for a spectacular celebration. In preparation, the iconic church will be closed to tourists and visitors on November 8, 2025, to host a special religious service.

From November 10 to 23, 2025, the basilica will be buzzing with activity as pandal and other preparations are underway for the grand Novena and Feast. Devotees, pilgrims, and tourists are cautioned to be aware of the ongoing work and plan their visits accordingly’ said Rector Basilica of Bom Jesus Old Goa, Goa. Fr Patricio Fernandes, S.J.
