Diabetes Awareness Walkathon in Mapuca on November 9
The Indian Medical Association (IMA), Bardez Branch, in association with the Rotary Club of Mapuca, is organizing a Diabetes Awareness Walk “WALKATHON” on Sunday, 9th November 2025, starting from Bodgeshwar Temple to Maruti Temple and back.
The initiative aims to promote healthy lifestyle habits, encourage early detection of pre-diabetes, and highlight preventive measures to combat the growing burden of diabetes in the community. The event holds special importance for senior citizens and the general public dealing with diabetes-related concerns, hence the organizers have emphasized the need for wide publicity.
The Walkathon will be flagged off by Dr. Chandrakant Shetye, Hon’ble MLA of Bicholim Constituency, at 8:00 a.m. from the Dev Bodgeshwar Temple campus, Mapuca, Goa.
