FIFA Launches Inaugural Peace Prize to Promote Unity Through Football
FIFA has unveiled the “FIFA Peace Prize – Football Unites the World,” an annual award recognizing individuals who harness football’s power to unite people and inspire hope. The first recipient will be announced on December 5 at the 2026 World Cup Final Draw in Washington, D.C.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino will present the award, acknowledging “extraordinary actions for peace and unity” by individuals using football as a bridge between cultures and communities. This initiative aligns with FIFA’s “Football Unites the World” campaign, emphasizing the sport’s role in promoting harmony and inclusion.
