“Calangute MLA Michael Lobo Backs SIR Drive, Says ‘Justice for Voters’ is the Goal”
Panaji, November 5: Calangute MLA Michael Lobo has praised the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) drive, stating it’s a practical move that will ensure justice for the electorate. Speaking on the occasion, Lobo explained that Block Level Officers (BLOs) are working tirelessly to ensure that the electoral roll is updated accurately.
“Those who have passed away or changed their citizenship and moved abroad will not be included in the new electoral roll,” Lobo said, adding that eligible voters who have turned 18 or changed their residence due to marriage will have their names added or updated.
Describing the process as tedious, Lobo appealed to the public to cooperate with BLOs and provide accurate information to ensure the electoral roll is error-free.
