RAVINDRA BHAVAN REBORN: CM SAWANT INAUGURATES RENOVATED AUDITORIUM, BRINGS JOY TO TIATR COMMUNITY

Margao, Goa – In a grand ceremony, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant on Wednesday inaugurated the renovated Pai Tiatrist Auditorium and Black Box at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao, marking a new chapter in the cultural hub’s history. The event was graced by PWD Minister Shri. Digambar Kamat, Art & Culture Minister Shri. Ramesh Tawadkar, and MLA Shri Reginaldo Lourenco, among other dignitaries.

The renovation, undertaken at a cost of over Rs 2 crore, aims to provide world-class facilities to artists and audiences alike. The Pai Tiatrist Auditorium, with a seating capacity of 1,069, is now equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure, including improved sound systems and stage facilities.

Speaking on the occasion, CM Sawant emphasized the government’s commitment to promoting Goan culture and arts. “Ravindra Bhavan is a beacon of Goan culture, and we are proud to have renovated this iconic auditorium to showcase the best of Goan talent,” he said.

The renovation has been welcomed by the tiatr community, who had faced inconvenience due to the closure of the auditorium for repairs. “This is a moment of great joy for us. The renovated auditorium will provide a much-needed platform for local artists to showcase their talent,” said a renowned tiatr director.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by artists, cultural enthusiasts, and dignitaries, who praised the government’s efforts to promote Goan culture ¹ ² ³.
