Calangute Police gear up for the tourist season with a meeting of 150 hoteliers and tourism stakeholders.

A meeting was held on tuesday i.e. on 04.11.2025 at Calangute Police Station by the SDPO Porvorim, Shri Vishwesh Karpe and PI Calangute PS, Shri Paresh Naik with owners and representatives of hotels, guest houses and other accommodation establishments located within the jurisdiction of Calangute Police Station. Around 150 owners and managers attended in the meeting, which focused on preparations and safety measures for the upcoming tourist season 2025–2026.
During the meeting, the Police authorities emphasized the need for strict compliance with all rules and regulations related to the safety and security of tourists. Establishments were advised to follow proper check-in procedures, maintain valid licenses, ensure CCTV coverage, deploy adequate security personnel and conduct employee verification through the Goa Police mobile application. They were also reminded to adhere to sound limits and timings for music, prevent drug and tobacco abuse on their premises and avoid using touts or agents to attract customers on the streets.
The Calangute Police sought full cooperation from the tourism and hospitality stakeholders to maintain the reputation of Goa as a safe, clean and welcoming destination. All establishments were urged to coordinate closely with the Police for any security or law-and-order concerns to ensure a smooth, enjoyable and incident-free tourist season for visitors and locals alike.
