“SOUTH GOA COASTAL COMMITTEE TAKES A UNANIMOUS STAND: 23 CASES FORWARDED TO GCZMA FOR ACTION”
Shri Srinet Kothwale, Additional Collector-I (South), chaired the 29th Meeting of the South Goa District Level Coastal Monitoring Committee (SGDLCMC) in the presence of Shri Brucelee JNS Quadros, Member Secretary, SGDLCMC.
The meeting was attended by the Dy. Collectors & SDOs of Canacona and Salcete, Mamlatdar of Salcete, and officials from TCP Department, Forest Department, PWD,ISLR, along with a representative from the Fishermen Community.
The Committee unanimously resolved to forward all 23 cases to the Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority (GCZMA), Panaji, with clear recommendations. Total 23 Cases disposed off.
It was further decided that all pending cases of South Goa Taluka, which had been forwarded to the respective Taluka Level Committees, shall be inspected expeditiously, and reports thereof shall be submitted to the DLC which will be placed in next SGDLCMC meeting.
