TRAGIC ACCIDENT CLAIMS TWO LIVES ON BAMBOOLIM HIGHWAY
Bambolim: A devastating accident occurred around 1 AM on the Bambolim Highway when a tanker lost control while descending a slope, jumped over the divider, and collided head-on with a rent-a-car traveling in the opposite direction. The impact was severe, leaving the car mangled beyond recognition.
The accident claimed the lives of two tourists, including the driver, 52-year-old Yogender Singh from Delhi. The police and emergency services rushed to the scene, and the bodies were shifted to Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC) Bambolim for post-mortem examination
Preliminary reports suggest that overspeeding and loss of control may have contributed to the fatal accident. An investigation is currently underway to determine the exact cause of the mishap ¹.
