“Delay in Emergency Response Proves Fatal: Electricity Department Employee Dies”
mapusa: A tragic incident unfolded in Khorlim-Mapusa when 46-year-old Dinesh Korgaonkar, an employee of the Electricity Department, succumbed to a medical emergency due to a delay in receiving timely assistance. Korgaonkar, a resident of Assagao, was on a break when he felt uneasy and sought help at a nearby house.

Despite the locals calling for an ambulance, the response was delayed, and after waiting for over 30 minutes, the family and locals decided to transport him to the hospital in a private car. However, before they could reach the hospital, an ambulance from Porvorim arrived midway, and Korgaonkar was shifted to the ambulance and rushed to Mapusa District Hospital.
Unfortunately, the efforts were in vain, and doctors at the hospital declared him dead after failing to find a pulse. The incident highlights the need for prompt emergency response and medical attention in critical situations.
