Ferreira inaugurates four-arm pole at Pomburpa

Pomburpa: Aldona MLA Adv. Carlos Alvares Ferreira on Friday inaugurated a four-arm electric illumination pole at the Ganapati Visarjan site at Patto, Pomburpa.

Speaking on the occasion, Adv. Ferreira said the installation of the high-mast illumination pole fulfills a long-pending demand of local residents.

“There was a demand for a four-arm electric illumination post. I thank the Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) for providing the pole and the Electricity Department for giving the necessary connection. This location is a Ganesh Visarjan site, and as many people sit here in the evenings, we have also provided benches for them. Earlier, they would sit in the dark — now, with proper illumination, it not only helps everyone but also enhances the beauty of the place,” Ferreira said.

Panchayat members and several locals were present for the inauguration.
