“Four Women Booked for Unauthorized Beach Vending at Arambol”
Arambol Police have taken action against four women from Arambol for allegedly conducting unauthorized vending activities on the beach. The women, all residents of Arambol and natives of Karnataka, were found selling various items such as woollen threads, mehendi cones, and handbands to tourists without permission, causing obstruction to visitors.
The police registered four separate cases against the women, who were operating without the necessary permits. While no arrests have been made so far, the accused have been served notices under Section 35(3) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) 2023.
The police are currently investigating the matter further to determine the extent of the alleged unauthorized vending activities. The authorities are likely to take strict action against the vendors if found guilty.
